At last I updated the wordpress engine for the site. It was a shame that I was dealing with wordpress blogs most of the time and still my own site was outdated. I had to do something about the spam comments I got every day, I hope the upgrade along with plugin updates will solve the problem.

December 15th, 2009I have a new printer that has a built-in scanner so I finally managed to scan some pages from my sketchbook. Check it here. I also add the thumbnails here, only for this post.
If there are too many sketches I want to upload, I will create a separate page for them. Or I’ll just hack this gallery plugin to make the thumbnails for sketches smaller… Perhaps that would be better.

The Lolani

The task was to design a creature that has the characteristics specified in the contest. It wasn’t so easy to come up with a good combination of these features… But finally I came up with the “lolani”. The name is a real name in Hawaii, meaning “noble eagle” or something like that. Since I needed a name coming from a place where the climate is warm and there is hot water this seemed to be a good choice.
