Sketches online

I have a new printer that has a built-in scanner so I finally managed to scan some pages from my sketchbook. Check it here. I also add the thumbnails here, only for this post.

If there are too many sketches I want to upload, I will create a separate page for them. Or I’ll just hack this gallery plugin to make the thumbnails for sketches smaller… Perhaps that would be better.

The Lolani

Entry for the contest held by AbelPhee.

The task was to design a creature that has the characteristics specified in the contest. It wasn’t so easy to come up with a good combination of these features… But finally I came up with the “lolani”. The name is a real name in Hawaii, meaning “noble eagle” or something like that. Since I needed a name coming from a place where the climate is warm and there is hot water this seemed to be a good choice.
